From the people who brought their watches in
Chiang Mai · Jun 2025
Brought in my grandfather's Seiko automatic — it had not been opened in probably twenty years. Wanchai called before anything was done and walked me through what they found. The movement clean and the seal replacement took about a week, and the watch came back running within a few seconds per day. I was not expecting that level of accuracy from such an old piece.
Vintage Care Session
Chiang Mai · May 2025
I had a battery replaced and the exterior cleaned on my daily quartz. It is not a particularly valuable piece, but they treated it with the same attention I would expect for something more serious. The only minor thing is that the turnaround was three days rather than the two I was initially told, but they messaged to let me know before I came by.
Everyday Watch Tune-Up
Expatriate, Chiang Mai · Jun 2025
My ETA-based diver had not been serviced since I bought it, and it was losing around forty seconds a day. Wela Thong did a full overhaul — complete strip-down, new seals, timing bench after reassembly. The whole thing took just under three weeks. It has been running well within five seconds a day since I collected it. What I particularly valued was being told in writing what they intended to do before they started.
Full Studio Overhaul
Chiang Mai · May 2025
I brought in a watch that had belonged to my father. The dial had aged noticeably and I was worried about what might happen to it in service. Krissada was clear from the start that the patina would be left as it was unless I asked otherwise. That alone was enough for me to feel comfortable leaving it with them. The lubrication and seal work took six days, and the piece runs steadily now.
Vintage Care Session
Lampang · Jun 2025
I drove from Lampang specifically because I had not found anyone closer who I trusted with an older dress watch. The studio is small and unassuming, which I found reassuring rather than off-putting. I had a tune-up done and they flagged one worn wheel tooth that they recommended monitoring. They did not push me to do more work than I had come for.
Everyday Watch Tune-Up
Visitor, Chiang Mai · May 2025
I was only in Chiang Mai for ten days and needed a battery swap on a quartz I use for travel. They took it the same day I walked in, returned it the following afternoon, and noted that one of the pushers was slightly stiff. All communication was in clear English. A very straightforward, professional experience.

Three watches, three different journeys
The challenge
1968 mechanical dress watch, forty years without service
The owner had inherited the watch from his late father and wanted it running again for regular wear. It would not wind at all and the crown had loosened noticeably.
The approach
Full Studio Overhaul. Complete disassembly revealed dried lubricant throughout and a broken mainspring. A period-correct replacement was sourced. Crown and stem were replaced. Dial and hands were left as found at the owner's request.
The result
Watch returned running within eight seconds per day after the bench period. Completed in 22 days total. The owner now wears it regularly.
"I had no expectation it would run that well. It has never kept time so reliably in my memory." — Narawut W.
The challenge
Daily quartz purchased second-hand, unknown service history
A client had bought a recent quartz watch at a market and wanted a baseline check before relying on it. Battery life and seal condition were unknown.
The approach
Everyday Tune-Up with extended diagnostics. Battery tested and replaced. Seals inspected — back gasket showed compression but was still serviceable. Case cleaned and polished lightly at the owner's request.
The result
Returned in two days. Written note provided advising that the back gasket should be replaced at the next service. Client continues to use the watch daily, returned six months later for the gasket work.
"Exactly what I needed — no more work than the watch required." — Anya K.
The challenge
Swiss automatic diver losing time, last serviced eight years prior
The watch had been reliable for years but had started losing around forty seconds a day. The owner used it for diving and needed confidence in its water resistance.
The approach
Full Studio Overhaul. Movement cleaned, worn pallet fork jewel replaced, full resealing including crown tube. Case resealed. Extended bench period of five days following reassembly.
The result
Watch returned running within four seconds per day. Completed in nineteen days. Owner confirmed water resistance held on a subsequent dive trip in Koh Tao.
"I knew what they were going to do before they started. That made it straightforward to trust them." — Marcus H.
